Weiqi — Go — 围棋 is played with black and white stones on a 19×19 grid. Finding a table in Malaysia still begins with a person, not a map we would have to invent.

How to find play

This site has no public club directory. E-mail the association with your city or state, whether you are new to the game, and any language preference (English, 中文, or Bahasa Malaysia). Someone can then share local contacts that are actually current.

The game

Two players place stones on the intersections of the board, aiming to surround territory. Rules are few; depth is not. You do not need equipment of your own to ask for a first game.

International context

Persatuan Weiqi Malaysia is listed by the International Go Federation as Malaysia’s general member. The IGF member page is the public record of that affiliation.
