ELO rating currently is being readjust and reset due to restructuring reasons. Please wait for the finalized rating.

thanks philip for working on this. so all these are provisional only right? how do we firm these numbers up? league again? how many leagues?

i suggest we don't only rely on league but so long as two players agree to play a rated game, then the results will be computed in the official system. this can also apply to other games, such as the monthly games with the japanese players, the gobango games, other tournament games, etc. so long as it is announced as rated and a certain results record is kept and submitted to mwa, then it can be taken as a rated game. even online games on kgs can be mwa rated if both players agree.

also, as in many other associations, we can have monthly rating tournaments.

hdoong - You are welcome. All the points being adjusted is provisional at the moment, it is still very up for adjustments. Current new rating points reflect's each players past selection ranks, previous 2 leagues & normal playing times. We will not simply put anyone with a high points and perform poorly, it was reviewed and approved by the top management team in MWA.

Also we will have more leagues to further adjust all the points. Anyone that is under rated or over rated please make a post here or contact any MWA staff or myself. I will personally get approval for the adjustment. Anyone that is missing from the list, also please let me know to insert yourself. I'll go through the process to get you a rating points.

Eventually playing in selection games will count for the elo points but we'll need more time to have better gauge of the players ranking first.

Forgot to mention this, we are currently experimenting on the points by having friendly casual match in JC and adjust the current elo points.

So please be prepared to play according to the points at any time if you see us in JC.

People that have participate in this check is, Philip (me), Wynes, Anthony. Where both me & Wynes requires to give Anthony 9 handicap, from the game we found out that the gap in points is correct since both me n Wynes won by a small margin.

indeed. it is absolutely important to participate in games, especially rated games, so that the ratings will be more reliable and will provide a better handicapping system so that everyone can enjoy a good game

Yup. So everyone plz remember ur points n try it out in JC when u r there. The more we try the more accurate the points is.
