11th University Go Tournament (U-GO XI) - Thailand
The Go Association of Thailand in cooperation with the Dhurakij Pundit University will be holding the 11th University Go Tournament (U-GO XI) at the Dhurakij Pundit University Campus in Bangkok, from October 15 – 20, 2006.
There will be approximately 50 local universities articipating in the tournament. Like in the previous years, they would also be holding another tournament at the same time for foreign friends from China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, hinese Taipei, Hongkong, Macau, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand.
Malaysia Weiqi Association will be sending 3 players and 1 team leader. Those who are interested to particiapte in this event plaese contact Mr. Tiong as soon as possible. Please joint our weiqi forum for discussion and feedback.

The 3rd Toyota Denso World Go Oza Cup - Asian Qualifying Tournament.
Organiser: Singapore Weiqi Association
Venue: City Clubhouse, Singapore
Date: 23 – 27 March 2006
Participants: D.P.R. Korea, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam
Awards: Champion US$1,000 + Cup
1st Runner-up US$ 700 + Cup
2nd Runner-up US$ 500 + Cup
The World Toyota/Denso Oza Championship is held in Japan once every two years, includes top professionals and players selected in regional tournaments around the world, including the 3rd Asian Qualifying Tournament Toyota/Denso Oza Championship.
Nihon Ki-in with the support of the Toyota Motor Corporation and Denso Corporation is holding the 3rd Toyota & Denso Cup World Go Oza in 2006. Preceding the main tournament, qualifying tournaments have been held in different zones around the world. Players who qualify to represent their zones will be invited to participate in the Main Tournament, provisionally scheduled to start in August 2006.

Latest update (27/3/06):
The champion goes to Yang shi hai from hong kong, second goes to Kang zhan bin of singapore and third goes to Tan jia cheng from singapore.
Kang zhan bin and Yang shi hai meet during the first game on friday and he lost by resign. In the end of 4 games, both Kang zhan bin and Tan jia cheng got the same main n small point so an extra fast game was set up for them, in the end Tan jia cheng lost by resign.
