The Go Goodwill Tournament – 2007 for kids, ages 7 – 16 years old, will be held in Bangkok in February 19 – 22, 2007. This event is jointly organise by the World Chinese Weiqi Federation and the Go Association of Thailand. Those who are interested to joint this event, please contact Mr. Tiong / Billy Chia for more information. Update: 26 Feb 2007 Wynes is the only players representing Malaysia to this event, lead by Mr. Tiiong as the team leader.

KL Japan Club League Tournament 2007All players are invited to participate in the League Tournament organise by Mr. Takano of KL Japan Igo Club.
The 1st game will begin on 30th Dec 2006, player will be schedule to play with all participants in round robin, until 28 Feb 2007. Prizes will be given to the top 5 players.

Johor Weiqi CompetitionDate: 30th Dec 2006 Saturday.
Venue: 19A, Jalan Impian Emas 6, Taman Impian Emas, 81300, Johor
Time: 10 am to 3 pm
Organiser: Mr Lee Choon Huat / Mr Tan Boon Hai The competition will mainly be divided into two groups: - Group A: Beginner to 10 kyu
- Group B: 9 kyu to 1 kyu
Certificate of Participation will be provided to all participants, to be issued under Malaysia WeiQi Association. Mystery gife and light refreshment will be provided during competition. Everybody are welcome to participate in this tournament, interested players please contact the organiser to book your seat. Update : 26 Dec 2006"Due to the unfortunate event of flooding disaster happening in Johor towns, the WeiQi competition is thus postponed." The 1st Korea Prime Minister Cup International Baduk Championship This championship is an international Go/Baduk event that will be held in Jeonju, Korea from 20th to 27th October 2006. The championship is hosted by the Korean Amateur Baduk Association and is supported by the International Go Federation (IGF). All member countries of the IGF (including Malaysia) are invited to send their representative. It is expected that total of 70 representative from all over the world will be participate in the event. Malaysia is represented by Mr. Lee Choon Huat (player) and Mr. Chow Chee Wen (official).  | |  | Lee Choon Huat | | Chow Chee Wen |

Three-country Weiqi Friendly Tournament The Singapore Weiqi Association will be organising a Three-country Weiqi Friendly Tournament on 8-10 Dec. 2006. Participating countries are Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. Tournament will be divided into Individual and Groups categories. 12 players have been selected to represent Malaysia this year, MWA president Mr. Tiong will lead the Malaysia team to take part in this event.
